We strive to unlock personalized nutrition assessment to all through science-based approaches and digital innovation

Digital Health

Today, individuals seek simple, science-backed ways to understand and manage their health. With the rise of digital health technologies, such as apps, wearables, and AI-powered tools, people are increasingly empowered to monitor their bodies, track progress, and take informed action toward better well-being.

Science-based tools for everyday health

At Danone, our mission is to bring health through food to as many people as possible. We design superior nutritional products that not only taste good but are also healthy. And as consumers and patients become more proactive, we provide them with the science-based tools that help them screen, track and understand what is going on in their bodies.

By harnessing cutting-edge AI and advanced technologies, we develop credible technologies and use validated devices designed to support consumers, caregivers and doctors use or provide the right food choices for themselves or their patients.

Harnessing Data for Innovation

We collect health data globally to fuel our future innovations and measure the impact of our products in the market. With over 12 million data points gathered so far, our digital health services are activated worldwide.

Importantly, we are committed to data privacy, always ensuring strict compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR, guaranteeing that personal information is protected while we accelerate evidence generation.

Addressing Global Health Challenges

We believe digital health can help tackle global nutrition issues like iron deficiency anemia (IDA), which affects about 30% of the world's population. By supporting large-scale digital health campaigns, we unlock early screening for risk of IDA and facilitate rapid access to iron- fortified foods. Using non-invasive devices that measure hemoglobin levels without a needle, we make screening more comfortable and widespread.

Innovating with Purpose

At Danone, we’re redefining digital health through patented, science-backed solutions. Our AI-powered Stool Tracker—clinically tested and active in over 40 countries—helps parents monitor their baby’s digestive health with just a photo.

We’re also advancing adult care. In partnership with a leading oncology tech company, we’ve developed a nutrition module that screens for cancer-related malnutrition—an often-overlooked condition affecting up to 70% of patients.

These innovations, and many more in development across our R&I centers, reflect our belief that better health starts with better understanding. Through AI and data-driven tools, we make the invisible visible—bringing the right nutrition to those who need it most.
