Nutricia Metabolics Research Fund open for new applications

The Nutricia Metabolics Research Fund will make €100,000 available in 2020 to encourage nutrition and/or dietary management-related research in inborn errors of metabolism (IEM).

All healthcare professionals active in the field of IEM are eligible to apply to the Fund. A Scientific Advisory Board composed of a group of senior metabolic experts will review and score the submissions against set criteria.

Nutricia established the Fund in 2016. In the last 4 years we have supported 27 proposals and are delighted to continue to support research for a 5th year.

In addition, we will also initiate a fund for travel support aimed for researchers planning to present their work at ICIEM 2021. These travel stipends will be announced later this year.

Application form

Application forms can be downloaded here. Submitted forms should provide a reasonable overview on the planned project as well as information on the applicant. Deadline for submission is Monday 26 October 2020.

However, endorsement by the head of the metabolic centre/institution where the research shall be undertaken is required.

Confidentiality of all submitted applications will be guaranteed.
