Quality & Food safety

At Danone, quality and food safety are fundamental. It all starts with the safety of our products, which also encompasses the overall consumer experience, and the way we act at Danone day- to-day, always keeping the consumer, the patient, and the customer in mind.

At Danone Quality is in everything we do, everywhere, every day, to deliver our promise to consumers and so to earn their trust.

Quality by design

From the earliest stages of research and innovation, we apply a “quality by design” approach. Our food safety standards are compliant with global food safety standards & regulations, and based on state-of-the-art science to support innovation. Our teams integrate strict quality controls at every step - from raw material sourcing to manufacturing and finally distribution. This
ensures superior taste, nutrition, and safety in every product we offer. We recognize that consumer habits and health needs are constantly evolving. By focusing on what matters to them - whether healthier options or more sustainable choices - we design products that meet their expectations without compromising on food safety or quality.

Listening and improving

Feedback is at the core of our continuous improvement process. We collect and analyze consumer insights from pre-launch through the entire product lifecycle. This allows us to monitor quality parameters and make necessary adjustments to ensure high standards are maintained over time. We also extend support beyond the product itself by offering responsive and accessible services through both traditional and digital channels. Whether they are consumers or patients, we nurture trust and preference at every interaction.

A shared Culture of Quality

Quality relies on very strong quality and food safety standards, processes, and management systems but no rule will be as effective as everyone’s mindset and behaviors.

This why, at Danone, Quality is everyone’s job, to ensure trust, preference, efficiency and to be proud of what we do.
