The paper describes the prevalence of clinically recognized symptoms of oropharyngeal dysphagia, such as swallowing problems and sneezing and coughing while swallowing and the association with the increased risk of malnutrition. Furthermore, it provides information on currently used nutritional interventions strategies. The study was conducted in Dutch nursing home residents.
